Royal Printgroup De Jong

On Friday, 16 June 2006, during the official opening celebration of the printer’s 100th anniversary, J.P.P.M. Hendrikx, mayor of Baarle-Nassau, conferred the ‘Royal’ designation to print factory de Jong in Baarle-Nassau, presented to Joep de Jong in the name of Her Majesty the Queen. Since then, the company has been known as 'Royal Printgroup De Jong'. 'The ‘Royal’ designation was instituted in 1807 by King Louis Napoleon. There are approximately 150 businesses in The Netherlands with this appellation. The company fulfilled all conditions necessary to earn this title, including existing a minimum of 100 years, holding a very important position within its domain and having national significance.

 
Flying Imprint

Four thousand different store addresses on a product folder with a print run of 5 million? That’s all in a day’s work for Royal Printgroup De Jong. More importantly, it’s our specialty and what we call Flying Imprint. This refers to our unique process of changing printing plates without stopping the press. Flying Imprint is the core of our web printing and is also the key to the commercial market. Thanks to the flexibility of Flying Imprint, we are able to optimally serve the versatile and dynamic retail printing market. This advanced printing process allows precision in orders of any size. Thus, no costly time or paper is lost, which is ultimately reflected in the price.

 
Offset Web Printing
Our web printing factory in Baarle-Nassau is the largest offset printing establishment in the Benelux and consists of coldset as well as heatset web presses. The various heatset machines are the latest models, ensuring optimal quality and high production speed. We have 8, 16, 24 and 32 page presses at our disposal and the capability to produce almost every product cost-efficiently. All presses are equipped with Color Control System and registration control, ensuring perfect results. Besides the heatset presses, there are also two coldset presses with 20 printing units and 2 folding units for tabloid-size newspapers. At our other locations you will find an additional 12 web presses, making it a grand total of 22 all together.
 
Sheetfed Offset
The sheetfed printing facility consists of three offset presses of ‘37 x 52’ cm and three ‘70 x 100’ presses. These machines all utilize a three-shift system to guarantee an optimal run. All presses are the latest models. The ‘70 x 100’ presses are equipped with a spectral indicator and prepress module for optimal production of the highest quality. At our other locations you will find an addtional three sheetfed presses.
